30 Days of Lists (March 2015) - Day 2 - "Resolutions That Never Stood AChance"

I'll be upfront, I've never made any new year resolutions. I guess I never felt the urge or desire too. I feel like I don't need to wait for a new year to make a change in my life when I can start right here and now. (n.n)

30 Days of Lists (March 2015) - Day #1 -"Why I Make Lists"

Today is Day #1 for the 30 Days of Lists Challenge for March 2015 and I woke up with a splitting headache too but I didn't want to start off the challenge on the wrong foot, so even though my head felt like it was going to explode, I made my first list from the prompt... "Why I Make Lists."

This is what I learned from doing my first list... A) I don't like my writing and hope to improve upon that over the next 29 days. and B) I'm actually scared to share my thoughts with my actual handwriting. I know that may sound crazy considering I blog but it seems a lot more personal when it's actually penned by my own hand. ^^; But I'm up for the challenge and looking forward to learning more about myself as I go. (n.n)

Decorating My Planner & Mini Target Haul

I've started decorating my planner for the next 3 months... I think and I'm really happy with my current dashboard and dividers. I made them all myself and even made a little notepad too!

I still need to work on my inserts and decide exactly which setup I want to use but I'm super excited to see how she's starting to come together.

Also while out with the hubby and my 3yo son, we stopped by Target.

I picked up some mini sticky notes, weekly magnetic list pad, stamp set with metallic gold ink and some Mod Podge. I plan to use these in my planner. You know what I did forget even though I went down the school supplies/stationary aisle? Double sided tape! I'll have a look at Dollar Tree because it's close to home. 

All in all, I'm really enjoying decorating my planner and I'm only just starting out. (n.n)

30 days of Lists (March 2015) & Happy Mail

With March quickly approaching I felt it was time I prepare for the lists challenge I signed up for. I have been so curious about the #30lists I had seen on Instagram and was super excited when I was finally able to join in on the fun.

So this morning I set out to make a mini journal to write my lists down in. 

I had a lot of fun making this mini journal. I'm using ribbon for now since I'm waiting for book binder rings to arrive. I think once they do arrive I'll see which look I like best. Can't wait! Be sure to follow my journey on Instagram, @mykindofquirks. (n.n)

Also, I received the cutest backpack from Neon Star brand by Tokidoki for Claire's. 

Isn't it the cutest? So in love with this backpack and it'll be perfect for outings to the amusement parks with my family. It's big enough to hold my goodies plus my 3 year old's goodies too. (n.n)

Today was an awesome day! I plan to finally start setting up my Light Teal Color Crush Planner. I'm thinking I'll use my Light Teal Color Crush Planner for the next few months (March to May) because it's such a nice Spring color. I have a specific color scheme in mind and need to get the needed stuff to make a dashboard, dividers and paper clips. Plus thanks to Pinterest, I also plan to make my own stickers and washi tape. (^_^) Super excited and can't wait to decorate her.

Happy Mail plus Unexpected Instagram Like!

Today was another beautiful day in Southern Califrnia. I received my order from Tokidoki with all stationery goodies.

I ordered a tear away paper pad, letter set and a spiral bound notebook and received the hair clips and sticker free. Have you see. How much people are selling the hair clips for on eBay? Last time I looked they were going anywhere from $5.50 to $17. Glad mine came with my order. (n.n)

But the highlight of my day is definitely when I received notification on Instagram of Simone Legno... yes the creator of Tokidoki... liking my photo.

Excuse me while I fan girl for a moment. Day has been made!

Hello There!

Today is a beautiful day! The sun is shining brightly and it's quite windy and cold! O.o It's another warm winter here in Southern California. 

It's a new year and I've decided to start a blog to share my interests in collecting kawaii stationery, planners and most recently Project Life® plus everything else in-between. (n.n) I have the most amazing job in the world... I am a wife, stay at home mom of 5 (14 to 3) plus a budding entrepreneur. So it's safe to say my plate is perpetually full and thanks to my newest additions, Webster's Pages Color Crush Personal Planners, I'll be able to juggle and organize it all. (^_^) 

My current collection of Color Crush planners in Light Pink and Light Teal. I plan to order one in Gold once it becomes available next month. 

Aren't they gorgeous? 

I ordered the Light Teal as a binder only but ordered the Light Pink as a complete kit. Here's a peak of what came with the Light Pink planner. 

I love it's little tag, it says "Love Today" and front page. I feel it's a beautiful way to start each day with such positive affirmations. 

The little stickers that come with the planner are so cute and they put a smile on my face. There is also a section in the planner entitled Staying Inspired and the pages they included are very beautiful and I love the last page of the whole planner where it says, "She designed a life she loved". 

I find this planner to be not only useful for it's planning aspects but for also the positivity it shares. Now I wonde what the insides of the light teal planner says. ^^;

I hope to learn discover more about, as well as improve, myself as I journal and organize my daily life while interacting with others like myself. This is a whole new world for me but I'm always open to learning. Here's to the start of something new! (^_^)
